Event Sponsorship
The Friends of Geode State Park Group is hosting the 2nd Annual Family Fun Day and Geode Challenge on June 22nd, 2019, to raise money in support of the Friends Group Concession Renovation Project at Geode State Park. Activities will include a 5k run along with a 7.5 mile lake loop run, a live/silent auction, games, educational activities, demonstrations and food. Plans are well under way and we are looking for your support! This is a fundraising event by the Friends of Geode to completely renovate and restore the former concession building at the beach and provide everyone in Southeast Iowa with non-motorized watercraft rentals, food and drink items, camping and fishing supplies and a relaxing place to bring your family and friends to enjoy the beach and beauty of Lake Geode. Our project has been recognized by local and state media and the event will be getting quite a bit of press coverage as well.
We kindly ask that you consider being a sponsor for the event. As a sponsor, your logo and/or Name will be placed on the back of the race day shirt as well as race fliers. We can also put some literature about your business in our race bag that each participant receives if you provide us with any pertinent flyers/brochures.
There are several levels of sponsorship you can consider: Platinum - $750 Gold - $500 Silver - $250 Bronze $100 A more detailed description of sponsorship levels are on the back of this letter. We would ask for confirmation and a logo sent to the below email by June 1st. Payment can be deferred for up to 90 days to help fit into your budget or billed in three separate payments.
In addition to your sponsorship, you may also provide food, drinks or promotional items for the race bags. We would welcome any contributions like this as well. Also, Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors are eligible to set up a 10x10 booth/tent to represent your business at the Fun Day if you so desire.

Friends of Geode State Park is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, and the contribution you make will be tax-deductible. Our mission is to cooperate with the Iowa DNR, by helping increase public awareness and appreciation of Geode State Park, and encourage public participation in the restoration, enhancement, and the preservation at the park.
