2022 Family Fun Day
& Yak Attack!

  The 2022 Lake Geode Family Fun Day and 'Yak Attack will be held on August 6th from 10am to 3pm at the beach area at Geode State Park! 


  The fun actually begins at 9am with Yoga On The Beach by Mother Moon Yoga. 


  At 10am you can kayak, canoe or paddle board in our first ever Kayak Scavenger Hunt. $10 entry fee gets the first 100 entrants a cell phone dry bag and all entrants get a 'Yak Attack sticker. Find items around the lake for entries into a gift basket drawing. 

  Food trucks will be on hand from 10am-3pm to satisfy everyone's cravings. 

  Silent and live auctions of some great items donated will help raise funds for the Concession Renovation Project at the beach.


  The Friends tent will also be set up selling lots great merchandise including Yak Attack Tie-Dye t-shirts, tye-dye drawstring bags, Friends T-shirts, bodyboards, coolers, floaties and more!  

  Come celebrate the Dog Days of Summer at Geode State Park and make new friends on August 6th. See you there!

2022 Geode Genesis Trail Run
Saturday October 22nd


Please join us for the 4th year of this running event...but under a new title - Geode Genesis Trail Run!
Since it's a new title this year, we're calling it the 1st Annual. The race event will be held the morning of Saturday October 22, 2022 at 9am.

The lake perimeter loop is roughly 7.4 miles - **GPS VARIES**! Registration cost for this distance is $35. The out and back 5k cost is $25. The race start/finish (and parking) will be down at the beach shelter area. Your registration includes a t-shirt. Check-in morning of the race will be 7:30-8:45am. We will have race day registration, but those who register at the event will not be eligible for 1st place cash awards or finish times. (Must be registered through UltraSignup to qualify). $100 cash prize to 1st place male and female overall finishers of the 7.4 mile loop trail.

Please come out to enjoy a cool, crisp fall morning run on our beautiful trails and take in all the colors of the changing leaves! The event is hosted by the Friends of Geode and sponsord by the Danville Lions Club.
